Lab
Results reach the doctor, not a pile.
Tests arrive at the lab from the doctor’s note, already named and already paid for at the desk. The lab makes the report in Aspataal or uploads the machine’s PDF, and the result goes back to the visit that asked for it.

The lab’s list, straight from the notes
Today
Where the time goes today.
-
“Test names are copied from the doctor’s handwriting.”
A misread test is run, billed and reported wrongly.
-
“Reports go back on paper and get lost.”
The patient brings them to the next visit, or doesn’t.
-
“The doctor doesn’t know the results are back.”
Someone has to call, or the patient waits for the next visit.
How it works
Four steps, start to finish.
-
1
Ordered in the note
The doctor names the tests while talking. They are on the lab’s list once the note is signed.
-
2
Paid at the desk
If your hospital wants it, the desk takes the payment before the lab starts.
-
3
The report is made
Type the values into the hospital’s own format, or upload the PDF from the machine or the outside lab.
-
4
Back to the doctor
The visit shows Results ready on the doctor’s queue, filed against the order.

Part of one record.
Questions hospitals ask
Can we keep our own report format?
Yes. The lab sets up its formats with its own ranges and units, or keeps uploading the PDF its machine makes.
What about tests we send outside?
They are marked sent. When the outside lab’s report arrives, it is uploaded as it is and filed against the order.
Does the doctor see results without asking?
Yes. The visit moves to Results ready on the doctor’s queue as soon as the report is issued.
