Discharge

Discharge papers ready when the patient is.

Aspataal drafts the discharge summary from the whole stay. The doctor fills in what only they can say, by voice, and signs. The desk checks a bill that has been building since admission, takes the payment and prints every paper in one go.

Up to 75% less time discharging an admitted patient, from “can go home” to leaving with every paper.

Today

Where the time goes today.

  • “The summary gets written from the file at the end of the shift.”

The doctor reads four days of notes again to write what the record already says.

  • “The family waits for the bill after the doctor has said go.”

Charges are gathered from the ward, the lab and the pharmacy before anyone can total them.

  • “Something is always missing from the papers.”

The summary, the bill, the receipts and the reports print separately, and the insurer’s copy comes later.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish.

  1. 1

    The summary is drafted

Diagnosis, the course in hospital, investigations and the medicines to go home with come from the stay’s own record.

  2. 2

    The doctor talks and signs

They dictate the advice and anything the record cannot know, choose the condition at discharge, read each section and sign with their registration.

  3. 3

    Bill and payment

The desk opens a final bill that has been building since admission, with the advances taken off, and collects the balance or refunds.

  4. 4

    Print and close

The summary, the going-home page, the bills and the receipts print as one, the stay closes and the bed shows free.

Done for you

What happens without anyone doing it.

  • The summary drafted from the notes, rounds, results and drug chart
  • The medicines to go home with, taken from the drug chart
  • The final bill, built since admission, with the advances taken off
  • The doctor’s registration and your letterhead on the summary
  • Every paper in one print, each on its own named pages
  • The bed shown free when the stay closes

What’s inside

Everything it covers.

  • Drafted from the stay

The notes, rounds, results and drug chart become the summary’s first draft.

  • Dictate what is missing

Hindi, English or both. It is written up in English.

  • Signed with the registration

The doctor’s registration number and the hospital’s letterhead print on it.

  • A bill built since admission

Every charge, the advances and the balance, in one place.

  • One print for every paper

The summary, the going-home page, the bills and the receipts, each on its own named pages.

  • Every way a stay ends

Referral letters, against-advice forms and deaths have their own papers.

Questions hospitals ask

Does the AI write the summary on its own?

Aspataal puts the draft together from what is already in the stay: the notes, the rounds, the results and the drug chart. The doctor dictates the rest, reads each section and signs. Nothing prints unsigned.

Can the summary carry our hospital’s letterhead?

Yes. Your hospital’s name, logo and details print at the top, and the doctor’s name, degrees and registration print with the signature.

What if the insurer has not approved yet?

The stay waits for the insurer in plain view, with the papers ready. The desk closes it once the approval comes in.
